Glacier National Park

Seems to be awesome. Rafting until mid july. Some hikes here. July/August seems to be the best time. Expensive flights to Glacier Park International Airport, 10 hour drive from seattle. Also: The pros about coming in summer are that most of the trails are open, the flowers are blooming and the weather is nice (usually).July and August is our summer.

Las Vegas

Don’t fucking go to Las Vegas: it’s a useless city. Everything at The Strip is unnecessarily expensive. (For e.g., beer in any pub costs ~$10 or more and the same is the case with food.) There’s nothing much to do in the city other than hanging around in casinos - and how much can you even do that? I’ve already seen 2 shows and the last one, Ka by Cirque du Soleil, was a waste of money. There might be better ways to enjoy shows, such as attending music concerts or plays in Seattle. Night clubs are pretty expensive and have lesser ROI than going to them in the city you live in.

Left to checkout Hurricane Ridge. 1-2 stops along Crescent Lake. Hoh Rainforest: I already did the two short hikes here. What remains is the 18 mile trail along the river. Sol Duc Falls and the nearby hot springs. (Apparently, the waterfall is very beautiful.) Maybe go to La Push if I am on far west near Forks. Hoh River Trail backpacking ~35 miles roundtrip. Mostly flat without a lot of elevation gains. Bunch of campsites along the way, so can stop anywhere you want. July-August (and maybe June and September) are better times when it doesn’t rain. What’s the bear situation? Hike to the end, Blue Glacier, is a day hike and involves serious elevation gain. Hoh River Trail - Backpacking/Camping | RootsRated ...
