The issue with this program is that it makes you workout at your peak capacity every day, as part of T1. (I too observed this when I was running GZCLP a few months back.) That becomes unnecessarily strenuous.

The better alternative is to train near some percentage (say, 70-90) of peak capacity. This approach is followed by both 5/3/1 and Greg Nuckols.
